my art crap

i dont know who, if anyone, will read this.
it's about my art.
if anyone cares.
i specialize in cloth, threads, yarn and such.
i have been doing collages using magazine cut-outs and srap-booking material.
many of them dont follow my current concept. the piece entitled "when you hit the shore" is about a subject i have recently been wanting to explore in my art about america and the war as well as my brother being a marine and my relationship with him and therefore my relationship with the war and this country and everything.
the piece entitled "girls, we are breastcancer" has more to do with my current concept in that is related to the female...
but this isnt entirely true to my concept, because in my larger body of work (with the cloth and threads and yarn) i deal with positive and negative aspects of both the male and the female.
these collages are from a smaller body of work that i am not too interested in and that i have been doing strictly in my journal...
i have been considering bringing collage into my main body of work, having a combination of collage and the cloth materials in all my work.
though i havent decided yet...
tom waits is a big muse to me. i belive he is a great musician and a hell of a lyricist. that is why it is not uncommon to see some of his words in my collages.
however, i am also an avid writer, myself. i am thinking of ways to incorperate my writing into my work.
not sure how yet, though.
